Bally Chohan Travel, Bally Chohan

Bally Chohan has visited many cities in recent years, Singapore and Dubai stand out in his mind as cities of great interest, both from a cultural and socioeconomic perspective. Both Singapore and the United Arab Emirates are extremely new countries, Singapore celebrated its 43rd anniversary this year whilst the United Arab Emirates celebrates its 38th anniversary.
Bally Chohan has watched each country and city develop and thrive and observed the different styles of monarchy and parliamentary rule, each style having benefits and each successfully creating thriving cities and financial hubs for each region. Bally has observed both cities with interest in recent years, Singapore’s infrastructure enabled affordable transportation for residents. In an effort to minimise congestion, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) was developed and opened in 1987 and spans the length and breadth of the city with 69 operational stations. Bally keenly watched as the MRT links were developed to include the Light Rail Transit (LRT) which services the public housing estates. In addition to the rail links, Singapore also introduced the world’s first congestion pricing scheme in 1975, which Bally noted London has followed suit and Dubai introduced similar toll systems.
Dubai has seen many changes over the past 38 years. Bally has keenly watched the developments of the seven states and marveled at their expansion over a very short space of time. Dubai is arguably a pioneer for the region, maximizing its geographical position with tourism and duty free bargain hunters to developing icon developments and self contained micro cities and communities. Bally has, like many, kept abreast of the developments of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates and watched in awe as the country has grown from strength to strength. The Metro system was launched in 2009, coupled with the Road Transport Authorities (RTA) bus, taxi and water taxi systems ensures Dubai residents have an affordable, reliable network of transportation.
Singapore and Dubai have many similarities and many qualities which Bally Chohan has often considered. Both countries have adapted technologies to support the very different climates and geological environments. Bally enjoys both cities with their vibrant cultures, distinct cuisines and multicultural residents.
